Hummingbird Keeping Her Eggs Warm

A view of the hummingbirds nest from above. I'm trying not to take too many photos from the outside of the shop. From what I have read other critters might see you in the area and come to check things out later.







She mostly kept her eggs warm today, it was an overcast day,was nice to see she got a break from the sun hitting the nest. Somehow it looks like more work for her to keep the eggs shaded than it does to lay on them to keep them warm.

From what I have been reading on hummingbirds, she only has a week or two to go before those eggs hatch.

On another note, here's another visitor that came to my yard today, not a very good shot of him, or maybe it's a her. But thought it was interesting. This is the second owl I've had in my yard this week, the other one didn't have the white around it's neck like this one does.
