
This one was fun to watch today, it is learning how to fly. It will get it's wings going then work it's way back and forth across the piece of dry grass it's sitting on in this shot. Sometimes it flies off it a couple inches then gets back up on it. I wonder if it will be flying by tomorrow.
The other one seems content on the nest by itself so far, but I bet it wont be long before it decides to join the other one again.

My sister is also an avid nature lover and she's now reading as well.
Thanks for the time and pictures you've put up here. It's been wonderful seeing it all.
My kids love it too (as does their entire school since I made them aware of the site and they check it in science class).

Thak you anonymous, I'm glad to hear so many are enjoying the blog. It's been a wonderful experience watching the hummingbird grow, I hope to be seeing them visiting my flower beds amd feeders before too long.
